On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd shipyard at Linthouse, Glasgow. The photographer is on the starboard side of 01 deck at 35 station looking forward and to port at the back of the bridge and gun direction platform. The Mark 6M director support tower is on the left and No. 3 washdeck locker is in the right foreground. The type 275A gun direction bridge sight can be seen on the gun direction platform. The watertight door into the bridge store is open.
