On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd at Linthouse, Glasgow. The photographer is in the commanding officer's cabin between 27½ and 30½ stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking forward and to port showing the fireplace on the right and the W.C. and shower space on the left. A speaking tube and loudspeaker are above the bed settee. Two armchairs and a gateleg table are in the centre.
