On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd at Linthouse, Glasgow. The photographer is in the commanding officer's cabin between 27½ and 30½ stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking aft and to port showing the desk in an alcove with a telephone, microphone and bookrack above it.
