On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd at Linthouse, Glasgow. The photographer is in the forward lobby between 29 and 31¼ stations on 1 deck looking forward and to port from the starboard aft corner. The sliding door to the captain's cabin is on the right with various starter panels and a loudspeaker between it and the door into the wheelhouse. The door to the navigating officer's cabin is open showing the watertight door into the port fan space. A transformer is against the bulkhead on the left. A vertical format negative.
