On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd at Linthouse, Glasgow. The photographer is in the operations room between 31 and 35½ stations on 1 deck looking aft and to port from the centre of the starboard side. The door to the aft lobby is on the left with three dimmer switches, two telephones and a fire extinguisher next to it. Two electronic warfare controller's positions have radar selector relay units above their positions and a visual display unit next to them. The chart table is in the right background.
