On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd at Linthouse, Glasgow. The photographer is in the electronic warfare office between 35¼ and 38¼ stations on 1 deck looking forward and to port from the door into the passageway. On the right is the hatch into the operations room with an exchange unit above it and an intercom volume control on the desk in front of it. A control circuit exchange unit is mounted on a support frame which divides the two desks. An amplifier display unit is on the left.
