On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960) under way on the River Clyde during final trials prior to commissioning at Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd shipyard at Linthouse, Glasgow. The photographer is is standing at 62 station on the port side of 1 deck looking forward. On the right is the Limbo mortar well with a pyrotechnics locker next to it and the 40 mm bofors gun on 01 deck above. The 25 feet motor cutter is in its davits. The type 293Q cheese aerial is on the port side of the foremast with the FH4 HF/DF aerial at the top of the mast. A vertical format negative.
