On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd at Linthouse, Glagow. The photographer is in the lobby between 25 and 41 stations just to port of the centreline on 2 deck looking aft to 41 station showing the ship's Gunnery Quarter Bill on the bulkhead in the right foreground. The sliding door to the A/S stabiliser and plane converter room is on the left. Between 28½ and 31 stations are damage control items including fire extinguishers, fire extinguisher dry powder cartridges, a breathing apparatus cupboard, fire hoses and first aid equipment. The watertight door at 31½ station is open. A vertical format negative.
