On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd at Linthouse, Glagow. The photographer is in the lobby between 23 and 25 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking forward and to port from 25 station showing the 4.5 inch gun bay access door on the right. The watertight door in the bulkhead at 23 station is open and an emergency hand lamp is by the side of it. On the left is the open sliding door into the E.R.A's. mess and just inside the door is an emergency hand lamp. Next to this door is an electric damage control panel. Against the port side of the ship are eight dirty clothes lockers.
