On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd at Linthouse, Glasgow. the photographer is in the C.P.Os and P.Os dining hall between 52 and 56½ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft and to port from the forward starboard corner. There are four tables in view. An air conditioning unit is against the starboard side of the ship and a refrigerator is against the aft bulkhead. The pantry is in the port aft corner and a four slice toaster is mounted on the pantry bulkhead above an electric fire. The serving hatch is open and the entrance door to the hall is on the right.
