The Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960). In No. 1 provision room and flour store between 33 and 35½ stations on the port side of 4 deck.

On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd at Linthouse, Glasgow. The photographer is looking to port from the doorway showing paper and hessian sacks of produce stowed on the deck in the timber framed central part of the store. A large number of cardboard and wooden boxes and some paper sacks and packages are stacked outside the central part. The goods include powdered potato, tea and Daddy's sauce. A vertical format negative.
