The photographer is in the cooling machinery compartment between 33 and 35 stations on the starboard side of 4 deck looking to starboard and slightly forward from the doorway. On the left is the B.M. tank, the food room cooling machinery and the brine pump. Against the starboard side of the ship are a work bench with a vice fitted and above it is a large evaporator. On the right is air conditioning unit No. 2.
