She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the junior rates' mess between 57 and 62½ stations on 3 deck looking forward from the centreline at 61½ station showing the stairs leading up to 2 deck. On the right is a curtained greatcoat hanging area with suitcase racks above it. On the left is a glazed notice board with a watch and quarter bill fixed to it.
