The Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960). In the passageway between 23 and 30¾ stations on 2 deck.

On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 23 and 30¾ stations on 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from 24 station showing the closed watertight door to the gunbay on the left. A damage control cupboard is on the right next to the door to the communications control receiving room and the fire party cupboard is above the auxiliary generator aft of the CCR door. A vertical format negative.
