On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 23 and 30¾ stations on 2 deck looking to starboard from 26 station showing a first aid post cupboard and the door to the caged routine office against the starboard side of the ship. A 440 volt electrical supply panel is against the gun bay bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
