On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the combined radar office between 36½ and 41 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from 38½ station showing a retransmission units, power supply cabinet, and distribution boxes for types 978 and 993 radar against the aft bulkhead. On the left against the starboard bulkhead are a modulator unit, receiver unit, attenuator and a wave guide tee circulation assembly unit. A vertical format negative.
