On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the transmitting station cooling annexe between 28¼ and 30½ stations on 2 deck looking forward and to starboard from 29½ station. A chilled water pump box is on the side of a Type 691 UHF transceiver cabinet which includes four resonator controls. A filter unit box is above the cabinet and four box junction units are on the forward bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
