On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the transmitting station cooling annexe between 28¼ and 30½ stations on 2 deck looking forward and to port from 29½ station. Four box junction units are against the forward bulkhead. Two control cabinets for the type 692 UHF transceiver are against the port bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
