The Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960). In the 1st lieutenant's cabin between 27½ and 30 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck.

On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the 1st lieutenant's cabin between 27½ and 30 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking forward and slightly to starboard showing the fireplace, a drop-leaf table, and two wooden cupboards. The table hasa copy of the Telegraph magazine and some ship plans on it. One of the cupboards has ties, shoe cleaning gear and a woollen throw on it.
