On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the radar display annexe between 30 and 31¾ stations on the port side of 1 deck looking to starboard showing the door to the annexe on the left. A cabinet containing a marker selector unit, a pulse generator unit and two coding bearing units, a meter unit and a visual display unit are against the aft bulkhead. An electric fire, an A/S plotting JYA7 switch box and a selection switch panel are against the starboard bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
