On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the electrical maintenance room between 39 and 42 stations on 1 deck looking aft and to starboard from 40 station showing a desk with drawers under and an open ledger on top. Three switch sockets and two servicing sockets are on the bulkhead at the back of the desk. Three fuse panels and a test panel are against the bulkheads. A vertical format negative.
