On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the transmitting station annexe between 28¼ and 31 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard. In the foreground is the MRS 3 Mod 3 power distribution board manufactured by Aish & Co Ltd of Poole. A radar power distribution board is next to it and two transformers are at low level in the corner. A vertical format negative.
