On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the transmitting station annexe between 28¼ and 31 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard showing an Admiralty pattern cabinet containing demodulator, indicator range, indicator elevation, target range and log linear receiver units. Two hinged tables are fitted to the face of this cabinet. A vertical format negative.
