The Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960). In the transmitting station between 26 and 28¼ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck.

On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the transmitting station between 26 and 28¼ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to port from 27 station showing the door on the extreme right with a fire extinguisher and an automatic emergency lantern next to it. Armament communications microphone circuit boxes, telephones, a KMP radio remote control unit, a key cupboard and various MRS 3 director units are against the port bulkhead.
