On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the regulating office between 54½ and 56 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to starboard towards the door. A settee berth is against the forward bulkhead and a board with 90 numbered hooks is by the side of the door. The regulator's desk, a two drawer filing cabinet, an electric fire, a document rack, an automatic emergency lantern and a flip panel are against the aft bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
