The Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960). In the galley and perparation space between 41 and 46 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck.

On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the galley and preparation space between 41 and 46 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to starboard in the galley area at 42½ station showing two ovens and two boiling pans on the left. Below the scuttle in the ship's side is a shelf rack containing trays, pans and a large stainless steel bowl.
