The Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960). In the passageway between 30¾ and 41 stations on 2 deck.

On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 30¾ and 41 stations on 2 deck looking aft and slightly to port from 33 station showing the door to the main communications office on the left. Various electrical panels and a cable stowage are on the bulkhead. The hatch at 39 station leading down to the officers' cabins lobby on 3 deck is open. The watertight door at 41 station is also open.
