On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the stores accountant office between 31 and 32½ stations on the port side of 3 deck looking aft and to starboard showing the sliding door to the office in the corner. Against the aft bulkhead are a four drawer filing cabinet and shelved holding numbered ledgers. A desk with a telephone on it and cupboard above is against the starboard bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
