On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the 4.5 inch shell room between 19 and 23 stations on 4 deck looking forward on the centreline. The shell hoist is on the extreme left. A spare 4.5 inch breech block, four Nu-Swift fire extinguisher cartridges and the fire sprinkler system valves are against the forward bulkhead. The ladder leading up to 3 deck is in the centre of the picture and a fresh water tank is on the right. A vertical format negative.
