On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in No. 2 mortar projectile room between 62½ and 68 stations on the starboard side of 3 deck looking forward on the starboard side of the room showing the Limbo mortar projectile stowage racks on the left. The chains of the projectile hoist can be seen against the forward bulkhead beyond the rack with a capacity of 15 projectiles. The rack in the foreground has a capacity of 38 projectiles and a hand-operated geared chain hoist for moving the stowed projectiles is fitted to a rail above the rack.
