On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in No. 1 mortar projectile room between 62½ and 68 stations on the port side of 3 deck looking forward on the port side of the room showing the Limbo mortar projectile stowage racks on the right. The rack in the foreground has a capacity of 15 projectiles and the other rack can hold 38 projectiles. Against the ship's side are three drums containing spare muzzle covers and a stowage rack for spare piston rings and projectile tails.
