On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the A/S mortar metadyne room between 63¾ and 67 stations on the centreline of 3 deck looking forward and to port showing two metadyne generators on the deck in the foreground with a resistance box on the forward bulkhead. Against the port bulkhead are two Metropolitan Vickers starter panels, a stowage box for test rack equipment, a foam fire extinguisher, a telephone and a resistance box. The door to the room is in the port bulkhead.
