On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in No. 1 mortar projectile room between 62½ and 68 stations on the port side of 3 deck looking aft on the port side of the room showing the Limbo mortar projectile stowage racks on the left. The rack has a capacity of 15 projectiles and the chains of the projectile hoist can be seen against the aft bulkhead. Against the ship's side are three drums containing spare muzzle covers with a rag tank above them.
