On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the laundry between 66½ and 61 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft from 69 station showing issue racks on the right and in the left foreground. An ironing space with drawers under is against the starboard side of the ship and a clock above is reading 1.51. More stainless steel shelves are against the aft bulkhead next to the door which is closed but not clipped.
