On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the laundry between 66½ and 61 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to starboard from 70½ station showing an ironing space with drawers under and a rack of issue shelves against the starboard side of the ship and a clock above is reading 1.45. A Breezette tumble dryer and a Viscount washing machine are between the issue shelves and the forward bulkhead. A soap and soda boiler is in the port forward corner.
