The photographer is in the 4.5 inch magazine between 23 and 27 stations on 4 deck looking to port from 24 station on the starboard side showing the cartridge hoist in the left foreground. Bottle racks for storing the cartridges are against the forward bulkhead and freestanding on the deck. A watertight manhole is in the foreground. The magazine can hold a total of 970 4.5 inch cartridges. A vertical format negative.
