On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the crews' preparing space between 41 and 46¼ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to starboard from 45 station on the port side showing a stainless steel sink unit with a shelf above and vegetable racks below. A Peerless potato peeler is in the corner bwteen the sink and the ship's side. Against the aft bulkhead are a cupboard, an Hobart mixing and mincing machine, cereal bins with a stainless steel top over refrigeration machinery and, in the corner, a large ready-use cool store.
