In the right foreground is a direction finder receiver made in 1943. B40 and B41 CAY receivers are against the aft bulkhead. The centre console is the senior communications rating's position and is equipped with telephones, a microphone, interphone switchboard, loudspeakers and two speaking tubes. The three positions nearest the ship's side are fitted with Powquip teleprinters.
