The Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959)

On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the asdic control room between 35½ and 39 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking forward and to starboard from 37¼ station showing the range console R against the ship's side on the right beyond the raised platform for the A/S senior officer's chair. Against the forward bulkhead are the positions of the bearing recorder, the centre operator, the range console and the depth console. Two fuse distribution panels and two main starter units are against the ship's side.
