On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 11½ and 16 stations on 2 deck looking forward from 16 station showing, in the right foregound, the watertight hatch leading down to the asdic instrument compartment on 3 deck. A fire hose rack is next to the hatch. The door to the C.P.Os and P.Os bathroom is in the starboard bulkhead. On the port side of the passage are the door to the crew's W.Cs and two fan starter panels. A vertical format negative.
