On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is on the port side of the flag deck between 34 and 40 stations on 01 deck looking aft and to starboard. The base of the Mark 6M director is on the left with a white smoke markers locker and an RAC helmet locker by the side of it. A pyrotechnics locker is next to the air conditioning unit exhaust fan in the middle of the deck. The R.C.M. equipment room is at the base of the Type 277Q radar mast and the foremast. The ship's funnel has the Red Hand of Ulster logo on it, showing her assignment as a unit of the 20th Frigate Squadron based at Derry/Londonderry.
