On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 23 and 30⅔ stations on 2 deck looking forward from 30 station showing the door to the regulating office on the left with a letter posting box and a notice of stamp prices next to it. An emergency cable stowage, a fire point equipped with three different types of extinguishersand eight spare Nu-Swift fire extinguisher cartridges a fuse panel and an emergency change over and connection box are against the port side of the passageway. A hatch leading down to the seamen's mess on 3 deck is just visible. Against the starboard bulkhead is an Articles of War notice with an emergency connection box above it. The sliding door to the A/S stabilizer and plane converter compartment has three fire hose stowage racks next to it. A litter bin is fixed to the bulkhead of the 4.5 inch gun bay in the background. A vertical format negative.
