On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the P.Os' mess between 24¾ and 29½ stations on the port side of 2 deck looking forward from 29 station showing three double bunk settee units against the ship's side with two scuttles open. Five kit lockers, a cleaning gear locker, three chairs and an air conditioning unit are against the starboard bulkhead. A litter bin, a mirror and the door to the mess are in the background. The clock reflected in the mirror is reading 7.13. A vertical format negative.
