On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the P.Os' mess between 24¾ and 29½ stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft from 25 station showing three double bunk settee units against the ship's side with two scuttles open. Six kit lockers, two overcase lockers and a letter rack are against the starboard bulkhead. Four tubular steel chairs are in the mess. An electric fire, loudspeaker, bookshelf and a clock reading 7.10 are against the aft bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
