On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the boiler room between 41 and 49 stations on 3 - 4 deck looking forward and to port from the port side of the lower platform at 46 station showing the face of the port boiler which is Babcock & Wilcox marine water tube boiler No. 19/382-0999. The superheater covers are on the right and the six oil fuel regulators are in the centre. On the left is the 75 ton fire and bilge pump with the working and maintenance instructions panel on the side of it.
