On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is on the starboard side of 01 deck looking aft and to starboard from 35 station showing the air treatment unit mounted on deck with a twenty inch signal projector in its enclosure outboard of the unit. The wooden slatted top of a washdeck locker is in the left foreground. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay.
