On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is on the starboard side of the bridge on 01 deck looking to port and slightly forward from 30 station showing the front of the enclosed bridge. In the right foreground is an air conditioning fresh air supply vent with the replenishment at sea tripod beyond it. In front of the bridge is a canvas covered inflatable liferaft stowage and a deck locker. On the left is the starboard bridge wing screen. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay.
