On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the bridge wing on the port side of 01 deck looking forward from 34 station showing the canvas covered ten inch signal projector with the canvas covered azimuth repeater and the canvas covered target acquisition system sight ahead of it. The hand grenade locker and the conning intercom loudspeaker are mounted against the side screen and the box for the signalman's hand lamp is in the foreground. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay.
