On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is on the starboard side of 01 deck at 35 station looking aft showing the support for the Mk 6M director on the right with an R.A.C. helmet locker by the side of it and the ready use rocket flares magazine abaft it next to the R.C.M. equipment store. The foremast, funnel and emercgency conning position are in the background. On the left is the air treatment unit with the exhaust from the gyro compass room visible projecting from the deck just beyond it. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay.
