On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the enclosed bridge between 27½ and 31½ stations on 01 deck looking aft on the centreline from 29 station showing the chart table with a fleet disposition board above it and a clock reading 3.15. An M.D. 10 Decca Navigator unit, a first aid cabinet and the watertight hatch leading down to 1 deck are on the left. To the right are the J.U.A. visual display unit for the types 277, 293 and 978 radars, microphones, telephones, an electric fire and a 3-way radar selector relay unit.
